New Member of the International Nurses Association, Martha Gonzales-Mijares, RN, Earns Praise for Publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Martha Gonzales-Mijares, RN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Martha is a registered nurse who currently works at Children’s Mercy Hospital and specializes in medical surgical nursing, and in pediatric emergency assessment. She also serves on faculty at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where she is involved in simulator training and community health. Martha is also affiliated with St. Luke’s Hospital and the University of Kansas Hospital.

She received her RN degree in 2011 from Kansas City Community College and is currently enrolled in the BSN program at the University of Missouri. Martha speaks Spanish and is a member of the Kansas City Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. She volunteers with community outreach since 2002.

Martha attributes her success to her drive to become a better nurse by learning about her patients and learning more nursing skills she can use when connecting with her patients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, salsa dancing, and traveling.
