Skilled Nurse Rachel B. Purdue, RN, to Be Published in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Rachel B. Purdue, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a Registered Nurse featuring fifteen years of experience and extensive expertise in her profession. Particularly skilled in paediatric nursing, Rachel currently serves patients at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, Australia’s largest specialist paediatric hospital for children from birth to 16 years of age, located in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She works on a ward that specialises in children with both orthopaedic and neurosurgery illnesses that don’t always require surgery but need to be observed for a period of time.

Born in Manchester, United Kingdom, Rachel earned a diploma in nursing with a focus on children’s nursing in 2000 from Buckinghamshire New University, followed by an 18-month graduate rotational program within a district general hospital in outer London, which consisted in her working a general paediatric ward, a paediatric emergency department and a special care baby unit. In 2008, Rachel moved to a paediatric hospital in Brisbane, Australia, after being sponsored to work there. She received her post graduate certificate in paediatric nursing in 2013 from Edith Cowan University and her master degree in nursing science in 2015 from the University of Adelaide.

Telemetry Certified, Rachel remains an active member of the Queensland Nurses Union and the Australian and New Zealand Orthopaedic Nurses Association. She attributes her success to excellent communication skills, being keen to learn and improve, and being a team player and supportive of others. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and wine.
