Skilled Nurse Helen Elizabeth Cater, RN, BScN, to Be Published in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Helen Elizabeth Cater, RN, BScN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a Registered Nurse featuring thirty-two years of uniquely diversified experience and extensive expertise as Disaster Management and Response Coordinator, Medical Relief, and Operating Theatre Nurse Educator. Helen currently serves patients at Auckland District Health Board in Auckland, New Zealand. Auckland DHB has three major facilities, i.e. Auckland City Hospital in Grafton, Greenlane Clinical Centre and the Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre in Pt. Chevalier. Auckland City Hospital is New Zealand’s largest public hospital as well as the largest clinical research facility.

Helen studied at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology and obtained her bachelor’s degree of science in nursing in 1983. She remains an active member of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation – PeriOperative Nurses Section, which allows her to stay up-to-date in her profession. Helen has specialized training in management and infectious disease prevention and treatment and held a faculty appointment as an international Red Cross and New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Coordinator. She credits her success to an ability to manage others while under stress, excellent knowledge base and disaster coordination skills with the military. Helen also enjoys reading various nursing publications and research and dedicates to walking and finding and collecting bottles and artefacts in her spare time.
