Illinois Nurse Christine Tipsword, RN, to Publish in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare as New Member of the International Nurses Association

With an upcoming Publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Christine Tipsword, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. Christine is a registered nurse currently working as the Director of Nursing at the Rosewood Care Center of Joliet in Joliet, Illinois. She has over twenty-eight years of experience, and specializes in geriatrics, long-term care, and rehabilitation nursing.

Christine began her career in nursing when she was still in high school, where she received her Certified Nursing Aide certification. She also worked as a Medic in the United States Army, and continued her education by receiving her licensed professional nursing certification. After receiving her RN, she worked her way up from floor nurse to MDS Coordinator, to Assistance Director of Nursing to her current position of Director of Nursing.

She holds her associate’s degree in nursing, is a certified director of nursing administration and long term care, and holds certifications in CPR, legal nurse consulting, and licensed practical nursing, as well as Certified Director of Nursing from NADONA . As a professional member of the National Association Directors of Nursing Administration, she is able to stay up-to-date on developments in her field. She is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing or her Master’s degree in Nursing. While attending school, she was the recipient of the Illinois Long Term Care Association’s scholarship.

Christine attributes her successful medical career to her compassion, drive, and love of helping others. When she is not assisting patients, she enjoys reading, gardening, sewing, traveling and spending time with her friends and family members.
