Skilled Registered Nurse Deborah O. Porter, RN, BS, to Be Published in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Deborah O. Porter, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. Deborah is a registered nurse with thirty years of experience in her field and extensive expertise in Medical Surgical nursing, Orthopedics, Operating Room nursing, Circulating Nursing, Post Anesthesia Nursing Care, and community health. She has recently retired as RN with 30 years of nursing experience.

Deborah received her associate’s degree from Meridian Community College in Meridian, Mississippi in 1984. Upon becoming a registered nurse, she went to complete her bachelor’s degree of science at the University Of Mississippi School Of Nursing in 1995. She is also certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Deborah stays at the forefront of a challenging industry through her memberships with the American Nurses Association and the Mississippi Nurses’ Association. She has previously worked at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Over the course of her career, she has worked in multiple areas of health care as a civilian. However, she has also served for nearly 27 years in the military, obtaining the rank of Major. Deborah was a family support officer, and Medical-Surgical Nurse (66H).

Actively involved in precepting the next generation of nursing, Deborah displayed a genuine love for her profession and working with veterans at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, where she worked until May 2015. She also adores doing community services and programs. She is very motivated and focused on hard work and giving back to the community. Putting forth a strong effort to being a productive citizen is very important to her. Deborah is founder and president of Because We Care Ministry Inc., a non-profit community service organization that provides support to The Boys and Girls Club of America, Jackson Hospice Center, and Stewpot, a Non-Profit Organization that house and feed the homeless. She is the Christian Education Coordinator and adult Sunday School Teacher at her church. She likes to read and spend time socializing with family and friends.

Venetta Marie Antionette Borgonha, RN, BSN, to Publish in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare as New Member of the International Nurses Association

The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Venetta Marie Antionette Borgonha, RN, BSN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. She is recently in a new position as The Infection Control Advisor for Juniper, Uniting Church Residential Aged Care Facilities in Western Australia, this is a Not for Profit Christian Organization that incorporates 39 facilities around Western Australia, including rural and regional areas. Her position coordinates a comprehensive organization-wide infection surveillance, prevention and control program in accordance with national and/or State/Territory accreditation, licensing, regulatory and organizational policy requirements. She acts as the organization infection control nurse in risk assessment and management associated with the prevention of healthcare associated infection and disease transmission.

IHMS manages health systems on behalf of governments and international organizations and provides for both in urban settings, delivering a consistent standard of care even in physically and culturally challenging environments. Venetta also performs at the Immigration Detention Centre in Northam, Western Australia, as a primary health care nurse, a position she embraced in 2012. She has previously worked in Theatre, Western Australia, at Mount Hospital Perth of Healthscope Hospitals where she specialized in anesthetic and recovery nursing. She also performed within the same health system but at the National Capital Hospital as a Post Anesthetic Recovery Nurse.

Venetta’s nursing experience includes Palliative Care, Acute Care, Refugee Healthcare, and Triage. Venetta has over thirty-six years in practice as a nurse, is incontinence Resource Management Certified, and is actively involved in teaching, precepting, and leadership, and also conducts anesthesia workshops. She received her RN degree in 1978 and then her BSN degree from the Catholic University of America in 2011. Venetta is additionally certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support, and she is CAN Certified in Nursing Administration as well. Furthermore, she is a member of the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association.

She attributes her successful medical career to her excellent work ethic and her ability to care for her patients. When she is not assisting patients, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family members.
