Janice Elliott, RN, BS, began her academic foray with a bachelor’s degree of applied science in home economics and child development completed at Kansas State University in 1974. She obtained her nursing degree in 1985 from Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas. She also did graduate hours in Counselling at Fort Hays State University and Wichita State University. Janice is an End-of-Life Nursing Education Instructor and volunteers for Homeless Veterans Events held annually in Boise, Idaho. She also has two former patients who cannot afford their podiatry visits so she volunteers every other month to do foot care with them. Furthermore, Janice Elliott, RN, BS, has been selected by the International Nurses Association (INA) as one of their Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. She remains a very active and passionate registered nurse, deeply engaged in her work. Her residents and their constant positive attitudes toward life in the later years is what motivates her at the start of each day. “So many continue to love life and many have contributed so much through their military service and the years after participating in the military.
