Nurse Practitioner Joy Bernice Whaley, MSN, APRN, WHNP-E, to Publish in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare as New Member of the International Nurses Association

The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Joy Bernice Whaley, MSN, APRN, WHNP-E, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Joy is a nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health and pediatrics. She has over forty-three years of experience in her field. In her hometown of Dalton, Georgia, commissioners named their health department “The Whaley Health Center” after her and her husband. Her husband was the County Administrator for thirty-two years, and Joy was the Nurse Manager at the time the Center was built.

She was employed by the Whitfield County Board of Health in Dalton, Georgia for forty-three years. With another nurse, Joy started the Prenatal Clinic at the Whitfield County Health Department.

Joy was educated at Southern Adventist College to achieve her BSN, and at Andrews University to obtain her Masters in Nursing Administration. As a professional member of the Georgia Nurses Association and the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, she is able to stay current in her field.

She attributes her success to her faith and determination to finish what she started. When she is not volunteering at the Health Center,she enjoys reading, puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family members.
