Natalie D. Garry, NP, to Publish in the Worldwide Leaders in HealthCare as New Member of the International Nurses Association

With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Natalie D. Garry, NP, joins the prestigious International Nurses Association. Natalie is a nurse practitioner specializing in geriatrics at the UT Southwestern Medical Center. In addition, she precepts nurse practitioner students.

Natalie received her education from the Jewish College of Nursing at Washington University and is a professional member of the American Geriatrics Society, the Texas Nurses Association, and the Texas Nurse Practitioners Association. Natalie also works on a side project with an Episcopal Church of the Incarnation which has included a medical trip to Honduras in 2013. In 2016, she will be going to Panama with First United Methodist Church of Duncanville to staff the clinic she had built with them, the 3.7 Project.

The 3.7 Project is a 3.7 ton shipping container, in which they built floor, ceiling, walls, and furnished with sinks and equipment for 3 exam rooms and 1 dental room. It has just been filled with donated medical supplies of all sorts, and it will be shipped from Duncanville, TX to Houston, TX, then on a ship to Panama, and finally trucked to Santiago, Panama to missionaries there. In 2016, Natalie hopes to lead a medical team to go to Santiago and staff this clinic for two weeks through the greater UMC.

She attributes her success to her passion for nursing and helping people feel better. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteer work, spending time with friends and family members, and enjoying time with her grandchildren.

Roxanne has been in nursing for two years and in addition, she does local public speaking for Safe House Staff and clients about Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners. Roxanne is a graduate of the New Hampshire Technical Institute and received her registered nursing degree in 2012. She is also a member of the Emergency Nurses Association and was named EMS Provider of the Year.

Michael specializes in administration, clinical education, inpatient care and critical care. With thirty-eight years in the field, he was additionally affiliated with Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and is actively involved in local public speaking.  Michael received his RN degree from Ashland Community College in 1977, BSN degree from Bellarmine University in 1989 and his MSN degree in 2001 from the same educational venue. Furthermore, in 2002, he was voted Nurse of the Year by the Florida Nurses Association. He has a great interest in the field of autism since he has an autistic son who is now twenty-nine years old. This interest has led him to speak about autism and Asperger’s syndrome on multiple occasions.

He attributes his success to his passion for nursing and making a difference in nursing. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as cooking and going to the theater.

Annette Kay Bisanz, RN, BSN, MPH, to Publish in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

Now that she is retired, she enjoys spending time with friends and family members as well as participating in volunteer work.
