Debra J. Hocket, MSN, RN, to Publish in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare as New Member of the International Nurses Association

The International Nurses Association welcomes Debra J. Hocket, MSN, RN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Debra is a seasoned nurse with two decades of experience in various areas of nursing. In June of 2014, she retired from her position as Nursing Recruiter and Retention Coordinator at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System is an integrated health care system that proudly serves the veteran population throughout the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. In that position, she was a member of the Pennsylvania Nurse Recruiters and the VA Nurse Recruiters organizations.

Earlier in her career, she served on the adjunct faculty of Waynesburg University and sat on the Committee for RN to Practice, which enables the VA to retain their graduate nurses. She received her RN and BSN degrees from Carlow University in 1994 and her master’s degree in nursing education in 2008 from the same prestigious educational venue. An inductee of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society’s Eta Epsilon Chapter and Chi Eta Phi Incorporated, a national nursing sorority whose motto is “Service for Humanity”, she frequently volunteers at the Wellsprings Homeless Shelter for Health Education and Presentations. She currently holds the office of Corresponding Secretary with Chi Eta Phi.

Debra attributes her success to her educational background and her love of nursing. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family members as well as reading fiction.
