Nurse Patrick Dewar Honors Community with Publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

With a publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, the International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Patrick Dewar, RPN, IIWCC, into their prestigious organization. Patrick works as a Registered Practical Nurse at Sault College and Bayshore Home Health in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.  He specializes in wound care as well as nursing education, also working with palliative care patients at Bayshore Home Health.  At Sault College, he serves as a nursing instructor, and has completed master’s level research courses at the University of Toronto.

Patrick graduated as valedictorian of his class, and has been attending to patients since. He studied advanced wound care, IIWCC (International Wound Care Course) with the Faculty of Medicine through the University of Toronto, and received Masters-level grades. A professional member with the College of Nurses of Ontario, he has published an article about surgical wound assessment. He’s also a member of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.

He attributes his success to his dedication to learning new skills and consistently continuing his medical education in order to sharpen new skills. When he is not attending to patients, he enjoys traveling, especially to Texas and Florida.
