The International Nurses Association and Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare proudly announce the addition of Hazel J. Magnussen, B.Sc., N., MTS (Retired), as an honorable member of the nursing community of British Columbia, Canada. Featuring a multitude of over thirty-five years in the healthcare industry with a special focus on outpost nursing and public health nursing as well as ethics, Hazel has permanently displayed the commitment, vision, and skills required to be recognized as a Top Nurse in her challenging field.

Hazel initially graduated from her nursing school, University of Alberta in 1964. Later on, she went to get a bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 1972. She even went onto acquire a Master’s degree in Theological studies in 1988. Apart from these scholarly accolades, she also has a PHN (Public Health Nurse) certificate.  She is also a professional society member of the International Federation of University Women. In the early years of her career, she continued to advocate, consult and write about matters pertaining to health care ethics while employed in short-term positions in nursing education and mental health nursing. Hazel’s nursing work and studies took her to five provinces and two territories in Canada, and the US.

Apart from being an excellent nurse and great advocate of healthcare ethics, she has written three books on subjects close to her heart. She has published several articles in various journals relating to senior care, ethics in nursing, and crime victims’ rights. She attributes her success to her persistent dedication to nursing, since she believes that nursing is the heart of healthcare.
