Devoted and Competent Hawaii Perianesthesia Nurse Susanne A. Terrac-Gee, RN, CPAN, Showcased in Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

Terrac-Gee, RN, CPAN, is being honored for her remarkable achievements and successes in the nursing community. In her current role, as well as throughout her entire career of 20 years in the nursing field, Susanne has continued to demonstrate the passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for patient care necessary to be considered a Top Nurse in her field.

Susanne is an established nurse equipped with the skills, training, and education necessary to perform at the highest standards of quality in all aspects per perianesthesia nursing. Perianesthesia nursing is a nursing specialty practice area concerned with providing nursing care to patients undergoing or recovering from anesthesia. Susanne currently lends her skills to serve patients at Castle medical Center, a 160-bed full service medical facility providing a complete suite of inpatient, outpatient, and home-based services. Owned and operated by Adventist Health, Castle Medical Center sits outside of Kailua and represents the primary health care facility for the Windward side of O’ahu. To complement her extraordinary work with Castle, Susanne also has active privileges at Windward Health Center in Kaneohe, Hawaii. She additionally takes on speaking engagements and the preceptoship program within the Center, teaching students.

Susanne is a graduate of Uppsala University, where she studied for her registered nursing degree, which she acquired in 1994. The University is located in Uppsala, Sweden, and is the oldest university in the country, founded in 1477. Also speaking Swedish, her native language, Susanne is additionally certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. A Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN), Susanne stays active in her ever-changing area of healthcare through her professional membership with the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses. She is also well-read in the Journal of the American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses, another evidence of her commitment to her chosen profession and nursing specialty. Susanne feels that her success over her 20 years in nursing is a natural extension of her previous experience but also the credit of her Charge Nurse in her former college, who was her mentor, educator, and inspiration.
