Catherine works at Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston, Wyoming.  At the hospital, she is a psychiatric nurse, working in the department serving those who have mental illness.  She is also a nurse educator, and teaches those in the local community about mental illness.

In 2012, Catherine received her nursing degree from Rockspring Community College.  She then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing degree.  To stay active in the field of nursing, Catherine maintains membership in the American Nurses Association and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  Catherine relies on her positive spirit in the field- while in school, she battled breast cancer and stayed strong to finish her nursing program.

In 2006, Joanne received her nursing degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center School of Nursing.  She also received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and is certified in basic life support.  Joanne attributes her success to her complete empathy and understanding for all of her patients due to her own past life experiences being ill.  Now that she is better, she truly understands their pain.

Cynthia Balein Aquino, BSN, RN, Represents British Columbia with Entry into Renowned Publication Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

Cynthia is a registered nurse serving the Surrey region of British Columbia, Canada. With many years of experience in the field, Cynthia has specific expertise and clinical interest in burn unit trauma surgical nursing; providing critical care for trauma and burn patients that require intensive therapeutic interventions resulting from injury. Prior to her career in the burn unit, Cynthia worked in bedside care, emergency care, and preventative medicine. To ensure her patients are receiving the highest quality of care, Cynthia maintains numerous certifications in life support such as advanced cardiac and basic. Aside from serving patients, Cynthia is involved in in-service training in local medical facilities; as well as being an active member of nursing associations including the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

In 1979, she graduated from the premier and only state university in Zamboanga City of the Philippines, Western Mindanao State University. There she received the Proficiency Award for all of her hard work and outstanding achievements. An advocate for continued education, Cynthia continued her education obtaining her bachelor of science in nursing degree as well.

Nancy Ann Vaughn, RN, Represents Alabama with Entry into Renowned Publication Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

The International Nurses Association, INA, has carefully selected Nancy Ann Vaughn, RN, to represent nursing in their publication, Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare.  Nancy Vaughn’s selection is a significant representation of her passion and dedication for the field of nursing.  She is considered to be among the best with nearly 15 years in practice.

Nancy maintains a position within the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center located in the state of Alabama. Mobile Infirmary has had their Bariatric Center named a Center of Excellence, as well as, their Diabetes Center’s education program recognized by the esteemed American Diabetes Association. Nancy is well versed in the field of nursing, with specific expertise in postoperative nursing care of gastric bypass patients. As a postoperative nurse, Nancy has an aptitude for ensuring her patient’s wounds are intact, and is also knowledgeable in wound care and the care of surgical drains. Nancy is dedicated to her patients, maintaining certifications in basic life support and CPR, to ensure that the quality of her healthcare is above standard. Aside from serving her patients, Nancy also provides safety training programs within the Center.

In 2001, she attended the University of Mobile and obtained her registered nursing degree. To remain current in the ever changing field of nursing, Nancy avidly reads the Journal of the American College of Nutrition; a peer-reviewed medical journal that covers scientific investigations of nutrition and metabolism.

In 2008, Veronica was honored with the Star Award Heart Award for Nurses Week with recognition for her leadership skills from O’Connor.
