With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Colleen Harrington, BSN, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. Colleen Harrington is a Registered Nurse with 13 years of experience in her field. She has attained extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, with a focus on clinical research and education. Colleen is currently serving as Senior Clinical Nurse Educator within UBC – An Express Scripts Company in St. Louis, Missouri.

 

Colleen attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Parks, Recreation, Leisure, and Fitness Studies in 1999. She then went on to pursue nursing, and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2004 from Lakeview College of Nursing in Danville, Illinois. Colleen attributes her success to her desire to help others and provide the best possible care to her patients. She is passionate about educating medical professionals and patients. When she is not working Colleen enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, camping and canoeing with her family.

Evelyn Thompson is a Registered Nurse and Diabetes Educator recently retired from New York-Presbyterian Hospital. With over 32 years of experience, she holds an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing.

Evelyn Thompson’s career in nursing began when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from LIU Brooklyn. Since graduating Evelyn has undertaken many advanced training courses, and has become a renowned expert in the management of and treatment of diabetes.

Although recently retired, Evelyn still takes a keen interest in diabetes education and is always willing to help and advise people on this subject. She says that her success comes from her love of helping people cope with diabetes and achieve healthier lives. In her free time, Evelyn enjoys crocheting and spending quality time with her family.

Highly Respected Registered Nurse, Freda Kiboko, BSN, RN, will be Featured in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Freda Kiboko, BSN, RN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Freda Kiboko is a Registered Nurse with five years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially in acute care. Freda is currently serving patients within Select Specialty Hospital a Long Term Acute Care Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Freda Kiboko attended Indian Hills Community College to earn her Associate of Applied Science with focus in Nursing, and Associate of Arts with focus in Accounting. Later, she attended Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She holds additional certifications in Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

 

Freda is also active in her community with volunteer work, through her church she volunteers for organizations such as the Appalachian Service Project (ASP). Freda attributes her success to the support of her family and friends. She grew up surrounded by well educated women, and it was her grandmother who inspired her to become a nurse, and her parents that encouraged her to pursue her dreams. In her free time, Freda enjoys time with family and friends, reading, traveling, watching football, knitting and crocheting.

The International Nurses Association is delighted to welcome Diana Zack, RN, to their respected organization with her newest publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Diana is a registered nurse and currently, a critical care nurse working at North Colorado Medical Center, in Greeley, Colorado. This is her second year working as a registered nurse.

Diana completed her nursing degree at Aims Community College in 2015. She attributes her success to her dedication and persistence. During her internship in the emergency department was when she realized her interest in critical care. When she is not working, Diana can be found biking and attending live music concerts.

Wendy is currently serving patients within Kaiser Permanente in San Jose, California.

Wendy Webb’s career in nursing began when she graduated with her Associates Degree in Nursing from Monterey Peninsula College and later with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from California State University of Monterey Bay. An advocate for continuing education, Wendy is currently pursuing her Master of Science Degree in Nursing at the University of California, San Francisco. She will graduate Spring 2017 with her Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree. She holds additional certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and is also Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certified.

 

Wendy attributes her success to her passion for nursing, her desire to help others, and her undying thirst of knowledge. When she is not being a patient advocate, Wendy likes to keep fit through exercise and cardio work because she believes we cannot teach our patients to be healthy if we ourselves are not an example of our teaching.
